Scam with Loading: I am now paying the consequences with a broken 65-inch TV and cracked furniture. I was told that my stuff will be loaded "by Weight" and if its less than the estimate, I will get a discount and if not, I have to pay more. Sounded reasonable and I agreed. Now the pickup guy came with a truck which was already 70% loaded, after loading he said pay me additional 500$ as the volume is more and dismissed anything about "weight". Now in the contract, it says either weight OR Volume but the representatives will never tell you that over phone while sweet talking before you sign. I said at-least give me a proof on the volume or let me look at the available space in the truck - that's when his tone changed. He threatened to cancel the load and started screaming, all other residents panicked and came out- I have a 5-month old daughter, I couldn't do anything but pay as I was already late to leave for Atlanta. Now comes the bigger scam - he couldn't fit my stuff and then had to tie my dining table and my king size mattress outside the truck - YES OUTSIDE THE TRUCK (look at the pictures). I knew something was fishy and started taking pictures. In essence, he charged me for the extra volume which he didn't had in the first place, this is illegal.

This is the worse company! We had to phone the police because after we paid the company with money orders they refused to move the last two items because we would not give them our money order receipts. The police man said they had never heard of the policy of a company needing the money order receipts. The movers were rude from the first time we met them. Do not use this company. Had we read all the reviews on Yelp and the BBB we would have never used them. Every patron said they were crooks and they are.

However, the owner of this company is undoubtably doing ILLEGAL methods of business, extorting people for money, and literally not doing a SINGLE thing they said they would. The owner is a scam artist. Every step of this was a disaster.

Scam with Packing/Assembly: These guys had no tools on them, they were unable to open up my dining table. They then said we will load it as is which was next to impossible. I then, with my baby had to search all over the markets to purchase the right tools. If this is the professional packing Mrs Heidi charged me for, then you can imagine the quality of service they promise.

THE WORST EXPERIENCE of any customer service of my Life! Good luck reaching someone in office, called the owner and he text me back he was busy. but said he would be available the next day. Furniture BROKEN and my Printer, Fax, Copier that I use for work is COMPLETELY MISSING! Delivery driver called the office and said they will put it on the next truck. Then had the nerve to ask for a tip... I said TIP YO ASS OUT MY HOUSE!

The representatives will scam and lure you into a very sweet deal and then as soon as you sign the contract, you are on your own. My experience with them was like a nightmare. I couldn't believe someone could go to such low professionalism just to cheat you and charge you eternally. Let me explain this by exposing the scam at every step so that YOU GUYS DON'T FALL INTO THEIR SCAM!!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They attempted to deliver before the agreed upon date and then tried to charge me a redelivery fee for their mistake. Then we agreed upon a delivery date and time and they never showed up. They were incredibly rude to me and never attempted to make things right after wasting my time. Now they want the full amount without making things right. Disgusting people! Don't use them!

Moral of the story: if you’re thinking about moving and shocked by the price so decide to go with this company, please go with literally ANY other reputable company that takes ALL forms of payment. Cash or money order only should have been the first red flag. Please just know you are dooming yourself to headaches, tears, and an awful time. Moving is supposed to be exciting and a happy experience, inevitably moving involves but these people turned it into a nightmare. Literally phone calls and crying everyday about double the price, horrible customer service, and SUPER sketchy business. The owner is preying on vulnerable individuals, and this has got to stop! This won’t be the last from us with this situation.

My Claim for the damages caused by the poor handling of Moving Express & Storage INC was routed to Anthem Claim management 2 months back, its stuck because they don't have the Inventory list from the movers. It's shocking that MOVING EXPRESS & SORAGE are intentionally not providing the INVENTORY LIST from my move to keep my claim on hold.

1. We spoke to a broker that was a reputable (or so we thought) friend of a friend. We had a binding agreement for $1000, and the person that gave us this binding agreement had a list of ALL of the items loaded onto the truck. We later found out, this person is simply a dispatcher with no control of anything, and was unwilling to help us further (once things changed with the price) Which the unwillingness to help seemed to be a popular theme with the customer service department. Later, upon arriving, LOADING THE TRUCK FIRST, once everything was onto the truck they had our items hostage and extorted us for now 2300. Would not let my boyfriend onto the truck, and said it “didn’t fit” or it was larger than expected, which isn’t our problem if that was even true—They had a list of everything we had AND the measurements of those items when we agreed to $1000.

I know for a fact the movers were a bit apathetic, and lacked manners, but I don’t think the MOVERS are bad people.

2. We were given a 10 day window, and it arrived late. They called us ON CHRISTMAS wanting to deliver within an hour of the call.

3. We were not given 24 hour notice, and actually given 10 hour notice with no time window, just that they are coming the next day. It was not until an hour later, we received a time window of 9-11am. That day, they then changed the time window to 12, and fed us some bogus excuse, after we had waited almost 2 hours. They told us of this change 15 minutes to 11, which was the LATEST they were set to arrive. (Mind you, after multiple calls to the driver, and the moving company. ) At 12:00 (after waiting for over 3 hours in my apartment with no furniture) guess who’s not there? You guessed it! They did NOT call me until they were ALREADY late. They could have called me to say they’re not gonna be there at 9, or 10, or 11, OR 12!!!!! Then, the time window became 12:30. My family lives an hour away, and my parents both work. I was there with my GRANDPARENTS for hours sitting on the floor feeling hopeless. They FINALLY showed at 1:30, in the most suspicious looking truck possible.

BEWARE: THIS IS A "FRAUD" MOVING COMPANY

I have enough recorded proof to take this legally if my claim is not settled soon- They take advantage of the limited knowledge that customers have regarding the moving business and then rip you off. If they don't do the actual move and we have no control over who the actual carrier will be - then why do business with them, because if we do- the results will be damaging.

Upon approaching the movers, they immediately wanted the total cash amount. (Which at this point, my boyfriend was able to knock it down a few hundred, but we still ended up laying a thousand more out than promised) I explained to him I would feel much more comfortable if I could see my items, to know what I’m paying for. He demanded the money. I offered half, and barked at me that it’s not how it works. (Actually, buddy, that is how business works) after that, I succumbed as they would not unload until I gave the entire amount (crooks)

Both men did an OK job, and weren’t mean by any means. They set up my bed, and whereas my bed did take a lot of time, myself and my grandparents and I set up EVERYTHING else. They didn’t say thank you, and didn’t even acknowledge that we did more work, and ended up paying double. Fortunately, by the grace of God my things were all there, and nothing was broken. The boxes were roughed up, but my boyfriend packed things very well. Otherwise it would have been ruined.
